Submerged in a rose-petaled bath, Madonna looks into the camera with feigned empathy that belies her real intent, which is to be alluring as she proclaims, “the virus doesn’t care how old you are.” If we join Madge in personifying the COVID-19, how would the virus respond to this uninformed statement by the Material Girl? Well, we don’t need to ask Mr. Covid-19, we just need to look at the facts thus far, which make it clear that over 80% of those who die from it are over 65 years of age. Apparently, Madonna didn’t know that COVID-19 kills far more in particular age group when she made her silly, uninformed remark. She also suggested where you live doesn’t matter either. Again, I don’t think she bothered to do even a modicum of research before opening her mouth and saying demonstrably false things. It’s astounding that a very affluent person such as she, who pays people to go out into the real world to acquire necessities for her so she doesn’t have to risk being exposed to the virus would say, “What’s terrible about it is that it’s made us all equal in many ways, and what’s wonderful about it, is that it’s made us all equal in many ways.”
This is the same woman who said at the Women’s March in January of 2017, “Yes, I’m angry. Yes, I’m outraged Yes, I’ve thought an awful lot about blowing up the Whitehouse,” then later claimed she was taken out of context. I don’t think she would actually blow-up the Whitehouse, but I’m pretty certain her putting “anger” and “bombs” in the same sentence speaks volumes about an irrational, vitriolic hatred. Maybe the title of her 1983 hit “Borderline” was in reference to her personality.
