Jamaal Bowman

Capitalism is Slavery by Another Name? Marxist Alert!

RootJamaal Bowman believes the Democratic Party needs a makeover. That’s why he’s been so outspoken over former President Barack Obama’s anti-defund the police remarks. Of course, he’s not dissing the first president of color. Bowman believes Obama isn’t a relevant voice who can speak to the millions of people who rose up this summer after killing George Floyd by police. Bowman, who is set to be sworn into Congress on January 3, has been very vocal about Obama’s “defund the police” comments and believes his center-left to moderate approach won’t energize the party’s growth. See one of Bowman’s more recent Obama comments.

This assertion of African Americans being somehow victims of overhanded policing is not born out in the data. Here is just one example – see here. This is all based upon Critical Race Theory’s falsehood and capitalizing on white fragility of white privilege. However, this is not the most alarming focus. It is mere race-baiting to achieve a greater goal. The bigger concern is the rise of socialism in America. We thought we defeated tyranny in the last century, and history is trying to repeat itself again. Once again, freedom-loving America will have to defeat this once again – though this time, the enemy is within.

Bowman, 44, has never held elected office and is the founder and former principal of the Cornerstone Academy for Social Action, a public middle school in Eastchester, Bronx. He is a member of the Lower Hudson Valley chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America. He defeated 16-term incumbent Eliot Engel in the 2020 Democratic primary. The Democratic Socialists of America is the largest socialist organization in the United States, with over 85,000 members.

Bernie Sanders and the “Squad” members Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, and Rashida Tlaib, identify mostly as Democratic Socialists. Bowman is set to join them. They say their vision is more aligned with Scandinavian nations such as Denmark and Sweden, who adamantly claim they are not socialists nations, but in reality, it seems to resemble Venezuela and Cuba, where the state control major industries and authoritarians rule. See more here on what they believe.

But the comments from Bowan that most are alarming are his comments about capitalism.

“Republicans have been masters of that,” Bowman said. “For me, we have to ask ourselves, Is this current system of capitalism working for the majority of American people?” [Bowman’s answer is no.] “And if Democrats can admit that it is not working, they have to ask themselves why isn’t it working. I believe our current system of capitalism is slavery by another name,” he Bowman. “We’ve moved from physical chattel enslavement and physical racial segregation to a plantation economic system.”

Marxism wants to do away with the merit base system in favor of earning your way by being the “best” victim and pure politics. One has to be naive to believe a country can be productive when there are no benefits to the individual. Citizens will merely stand down and turnover their liberties to the tyrannical state. This question was asked way back in the 1970s. This gave rise to Milton Friedman‘s famous quote on capitalism.

“In the only cases in which the masses have escaped from the kind of grinding poverty you’re talking about, the only cases in recorded history are where they have had capitalism and largely free trade. If you want to know where the masses are worse off, worst off, it’s exactly in the kinds of societies that depart from that. So that the record of history is absolutely crystal clear, that there is no alternative way so far discovered of improving the lot of the ordinary people that can hold a candle to the productive activities that are unleashed by the free-enterprise system.”

Perhaps one needs to re-watch why socialism (Marxist ideologies) don’t work.

These Marxists fundamentally believe that America is somehow “evil” and have wronged the world. Really? See here what America and Western Civilization has accomplished over the past 200 years. Do we, as a nation, want to turn away from these successes? Trump affirmed that “America will never be a socialist country. We were born free, and we will stay free.”

Bowan is clearly a Marxist. One could say with certainty that it is self-proclaimed. When looking at what these Marxists have done, they follow the letter the Marxist Plan to Destroy America. Step 1, through racial politics – pitting one group against another. Step 3, is the continuing tactic of Black Lives Matter invoking chaos in the nation. Step 4, is frightening. Bowman is yet another tool of these Marxists that is a cancer that has infected our Republic. Be aware and be vigilant to expose these people for who they are – it is a battle for America’s soul.

Born down on the farm in America's Midwest, my early life was spent climbing the ladder via a long career in information technology. Starting as a technician, and after earning a degree going to night school, I eventually found a place working at ATT Bell Laboratories as a software engineer.

Later moving into management and then a long stint in a major management consulting firm working with major banking, telecommunications, and retail companies. Working in various states in America, I also spent considerable time living and working in several European countries - currently expat in France. As a side career, I was heavily involved in real estate development and an avid futures trader. This experience can give one a unique view of the world.

The storm clouds of dark change are near. Today America is at a crossroads. Will it maintain its prowess as a national leader in the free modern advancing world, or will it backtrack in the abyss of the envy identity politics of tyrannical socialism, and the loss of individual freedoms. The 2020 election may have decided this. Join the Right Wire Report team and make a stand.
