The Biden Lie Ledger
Candidate Biden promised to eliminate fracking only to reverse this promise during the presidential debates.
“Would there be any place for fossil fuels, including coal and fracking, in a Biden administration?” CNN’s Dana Bash asked during a July 2019 primary debate.
“No, we would work it out, we would make sure it’s eliminated, and no more subsidies for either one of those, any fossil fuel,” Biden said.
Furthermore, during an exchange with a voter in Claremont, New Hampshire, one voter asked Biden, “But what about, say, stopping fracking?”
Biden replied with a simple, “Yes.”
Later during the presidential debates, Biden lied and claimed he had never supported a ban on fracking in a clear attempt to win over more voters.
On his first day in office, Biden signed an executive order that put a hold on all oil and gas development in the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge. On Jan. 27, he signed an additional executive order that pauses new oil and gas leases on federal land, effectively banning new fracking there for as long as the policy lasts.
Press Secretary Jen Psaki further confirmed the intent of the Biden Administration in an exchange with this reporter:
Left-leaning and left funded Politi-fact and other Democrat front media outlets such as CNN have been feverishly spinning this latest U-turn by Biden. Essentially the stretch is to claim he did not ban ALL FRACKING yet.
The Right Wire Report deems that Biden was adamant while asking for votes during the presidential race about his commitment not to ban any fracking. Biden’s team claimed that any claim by the Trump campaign that Biden would do so was fearmongering and false.
#2 Biden Campaign promise to “Shut down Covid”
The cornerstone of Biden’s campaign was to assert he would be able to lead on the pandemic and “shut down Covid” and charge that Trump and his administration was incompetent in doing so. More pointedly, Biden claimed Trump had been negligent and made the pandemic effects worse on the American people. Biden claimed to have a well thought out plan to attack the virus. But only two days into his term Biden made this jarring admission: “There’s nothing we can do to change the trajectory of the pandemic in the next several months.”
Biden’s first days in office he declared the new goal of vaccinating one million people a day – however, the Trump administration had already met that goal. He also claimed the previous administration had left no plan in place for vaccine distribution. Dr. Fauci strongly refuted Biden on this issue. Biden promised to open schools in 100 days but the present timeline with resistance from the teacher’s unions puts opening back as far as May 2021. Read more about Biden’s nonexistent plan which was to continue Trump’s plan here.
After Biden’s debacle statement that the pandemic is deepening and on a trajectory that cannot be impeded – he rushed out a 198-page “plan”, read more here. Read the Twitter smackdowns on the hypocrisy of the Biden campaign pledge with side by side comparisons and whiplash from the current status.
The Right Wire Report deems candidate Biden lied to Americans about the Trump pandemic response and his capability and plans if elected, read the section on Trump’s COVID response here. As President, he has made many misleading statements about Trump’s vaccine distribution plan, the number of those getting vaccinated, and school openings. Biden has implemented a Mask Ban for federal facilities including transportation. It should be noted that the CDC already recommended masking and the TSA and federal agencies/Congress chose, without a mandate, already the implementation of specific compliance with mask-wearing during the Trump era.
Biden has made many misleading statements as president to date 02.03.21 on pandemic response.
#3 Vote Biden ticket to get a $2000 Stimulus check
In January 2020 the declared winner of the 2020 presidential election, while specifically campaigning for the Georgia Democrat candidates in the senate runoffs, election promised $2000 in the stimulus. However, Biden’s $1.9 Trillion COVID Relief Package provides for only $1400 direct payments.
The Twitter hashtag “#BidenLied” started trending.
The Right Wire Report deems that Biden’s promise of a specific amount if Georgians voted Democrat in the runoffs was not fulfilled. Biden agreed lesser amount in his package indicates he has backtracked on the original commitment.
Biden did not keep his word.
#4 Biden again falsely labels Trump’s Travel Ban as a Muslim Ban
This was a lie.
#5 Biden, still claims: “we’ve been shot at”
On February 04, 2021, Biden while speaking to State Department employees said that he had been “shot at” while overseas, resurfacing a claim he first made during the 2008 presidential race. The claim is reminiscent of Hillary Clinton’s false claim of landing sniper fire.
Biden has walked back this claim several times over the years yet still insists on stating it as fact when it is not.
#6 Biden contradicts himself on the use of Executive Orders
The context – during an ABC News Townhall on October 15, 2020, Biden discussed making changes to tax policy with George Stephanopoulos when he insisted that he would “have to see” if he “had the votes” before he would implement his somewhat controversial economic recovery plan.
“I have this strange notion,” the then Vice President Joe Biden told ABC News’s Stephanopoulos. “We are a democracy… some of my Republican friends and some of my Democratic friends even occasionally say, ‘Well, if you can’t get the votes, by executive order you’re going to do something.” He went on to note there are “Things you can’t do by Executive Order unless you’re a dictator. We’re a democracy. We need consensus.”
An “Executive Order” (sometimes referred to simply as an “EO”) is an official directive of the President. While an EO enjoys the “force of law” it does not require the prior approval of Congress, even though it impacts the operations of the federal government. Or as Biden put it during the town hall referenced above, it doesn’t require “consensus.”
A “memorandum” is the means by which the president then uses his executive authority to instruct federal departments and agencies to either change or institute policy preferences of his administration.
President Joe Biden has issued more executive orders in his first week in office – at the time of this writing – than any of his 45 predecessors. If you total executive orders and memorandums the count is 49, read here.
Many accuse Biden of ruling by decree using executive fiat. A review of these actions reveals Biden choosing to ignore a large segment of the population’s representation through Congress on the significant policy issues. Biden has sought to run around congressional opposition on Immigration, Climate Change, Energy Policy, and Abortion to name a few, read here.
The Right Wire Report recognizes most presidents utilize executive orders and actions. However, Biden campaigned against the former president’s “ruling by executive fiat”( Biden’s interpretation ) even calling him an authoritarian and dictator-like.
We deem this an example of Biden being hypocritical and “do as I say, not as I do.”
#7 Biden Breaks Promise to “Fire People on the Spot” if They Treat Others with Disrespect
Three weeks ago Joe Biden promised he would fire anyone working for him ‘on the spot’ if they disrespected others.
Joe Biden however is allowing one of his male White House officials to keep his job after he threatened a female reporter. Deputy Press Secretary TJ Ducklo lashed out at journalist Tara Palmeri, spurring conversations between Politico’s brass and the White House—and raising questions about behavior tolerated in the Biden administration. Only a one-week suspension and life goes on. Subsequent to this, after media pressure, Ducklo resigned – no thanks to Joe Biden.
Oh well, Biden lies don’t matter if you’re a Democrat.
#8 Biden blatantly lied and claimed there was no COVIDE19 vaccine when he took office.
Vice President Harris and team also pushing the lie, read here. The facts are that close to 17 million people in America were administered the vaccine before the Biden Administration even assumed office, including Joe Biden! It is a blatant lie to claim Trump and his administration did not have a vaccine plan. Operation Warp speed was a highly successful strategy to obtain a vaccine, read here. They released their distribution plan back in September of 2020, read here.
“Trump’s plan left control to the states, but that’s a reasonable choice, not a lack of a strategy. The feds partnered with and delivered doses to chain pharmacies, set aside billions for vaccine distribution, set up programs for nursing-home residents and hospital workers, and provided a playbook from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to guide state plans. Under Trump, the US gave shots to millions, enrolled tens of thousands of private providers in the vax program, and organized a data-collection system that includes all 50 states.”
The leftist created and funded fact-checkers went into overtime to protect Biden on this whopper. The Washington Post bent reality to claim this was just Joe being Joe and only gaffe, not a real lie, read here and here.
This is a vicious lie to tell the American people and the lie is being told to diminish credit to Trump and hundreds of public servants that tirelessly worked to deliver a vaccine option in record-setting time. Frankly, it is shameful.
Does Biden really believe Americans can’t remember as far back as 30 days ago?
#9 Biden backtracks on student loan forgiveness.
Student loan forgiveness is part of President-elect Joe Biden’s national strategy for getting the economy back on track and “building back better.” He made this claim in a press conference in Willington, Delaware on back in November 2020 and during the 2020 presidential campaign. Some say that he didn’t make this claim in its entirety but don’t tell this to AOC. AOC said, “The case against student loan forgiveness is looking shakier by the day.” Is Joe Biden throwing Progressive under the bus? See her statement here.
#10 Biden Statement on Impeachment Falsely Attributes Officer’s Death to Capitol Riot.
To date, there is no evidence that the officer died from an altercation with the mob at the Capitol and no blunt trauma. The family report he did not die on Jan.6th, and that he had a stroke. The FBI recently testified they could not confirm how he died. Read more here, here, here, and here.
Biden made a statement that was not fact.
#11 Biden repeats the lie that he created the COVID Vaccine.
President Biden gave a prime–time address on the anniversary of the pandemic. The adjectives to describe the speech would be: imperious, chimerical, surreal, fallacious, lugubrious, mendacious, and above all, disquieting – see here.
The media once again gives Biden a pass.
#12 Biden Breaks Promise to Not Raise Taxes on ‘Anybody’ Making Less Than $400K.
As a candidate, Joe Biden pledged not to raise taxes on “anybody” making $400,000 or less. The White House basically announced Biden had lied. “Akshually,” the number is more like $200,000. Back in August, during an interview with far-left ABC News, Biden declaratively said, “I will raise taxes for anybody making over $400,000.”
The left and media besieged President Trump’s term by obsessively attempting to convince Americans, among many negative labels, that the man is a pathological liar and untrustworthy. The New York Times, whose motto is “All The News Fit To Print” morphed its mission into a leftist activist agenda and maintained a Trump lie ticker on the front page. The Washington Post, whose motto is “Democracy Dies In Darkness” had a fact-checker database accordingly. Cable news like CNN and others ran their tally boards as well. Consider that the NYT chose to cover Trump’s first 40 days as President by assembling what they called “a massive list of Trump’s lies.” The mission was clear and keeping a president and his administration honest was clearly not the objective.
Over Trump’s four years the premier papers of record and media outlets spout the claim that he made 30,573 false or misleading claims as president. The problem lies in who is determining what a lie or misleading statement is. Any cursory inspection of the Post database, and others, reveals that the idea that Trump has told 30,573 “false or misleading” statements is itself false and misleading, read here for further analysis.
The exercise of the guardians of truth and they’re bagging a huge number on their tickers requires manipulation and propaganda. No doubt, like all past presidents and politicians, Trump has stated things that were not true but the propaganda he was a pathological and dangerous liar to the American people is evil on its face. Here is a brief review of how they did it :
- Racking up redundancies and counting them, or any variation, as new lies.
- Labeling as untrue or misleading by taking Trump’s non -politician verbal excess communication style out of context and assigning a meaning he did not assert-omitting what came before or after the statement then flagging as a lie.
- Declaring a policy or ideological disagreement with the left is a factual lie.
- Fabricating and changing the meanings of words to fit a narrative to support the claim the statement was a falsehood.
The Right Wire Report is launching the #BidenLieLedger. The objective is to inform Americans of Biden’s false statements and to set the record straight. We will not engage in attaching the word lie to policy or ideological disagreements we might have with him or his administration. We will not count the same entry 200 plus times as separate examples. We are not interested in the agenda behind tallying up a large number against him and intend to be as unbiased as humanly possible.
