Six Takeaways From Trump’s CPAC Speech That Change Everything

The much anticipated Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) held its annual meeting this week in Orlando Florida. A venue change from  National Harbor, Maryland to Hyatt Regency, Orlando Florida, was made to address pandemic restrictions. Even with social distancing and masks, the crowds were large and energized. The Keynote Address was delivered by President Donald Trump to the maximum allowed of 1400 in the Grand Ballroom with a massive gathering overflow outside the Hyatt to show support. This marked the first speech Trump has given since he left office under less than normal circumstances during the transition of our government. Taking the stage late to thunderous applause, he gingerly hugged the American Flag and then turned to the crowd opening with “Do you miss me yet?”

The speaker’s list told the tale of the fractured state of the Republican Party at present. Vice President Mike Pence was invited to speak but chose to decline. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was not invited, along with a long list of elected Republicans who on any other year would have been invited – but this was not like any other year. All the speakers aligned with the Trump America First doctrine and championed the president’s accomplishments making it abundantly clear by day four that President Trump was the dominant force and leader of what is now his party and his voters.

While the Beltway Washington insiders held their breath to see if Trump’s much herald political demise would be affirmed, those not living in the bubble were not shocked in the least to hear the results of the CPAC Straw Poll. The poll laid down some important markers for how the party will move forward post 2020. Here are the results:

Trump as a candidate in 2024:

President Donald J. Trump – 55%

Gov. Ron DeSantis – 21%

Gov. Kristi Noem – 4%

Trump not as a candidate in 2024:

Gov. Ron DeSantis – 43%

Gov Kristi Noem – 11%

Donald Trump Jr. – 8%

When polled how many want Trump to choose to throw his hat into the 2024 presidential race, seven out of ten CPAC voters said yes. Trump’s presidential approval rating in 2019 was at an all-time high, 95%. This year CPAC voters rated President Trump’s approval rating even higher at a whopping 97%!

On the Issues, voters ranked the following:

Election integrity – 62%
Constitutional rights – 48%
Immigration – 35%
Economy – 32 %
The Second Amendment – 26%
Federal spending – 22%
National security – 20 %

Here are the key takeaways from Trump’s speech:

1. President Trump is still the Elephant King, and the King is not a happy warrior yet – beware Elephant “turncoats.”

A rather subdued Trump delivered his speech on teleprompter with plenty of riffs and ad-libs to an audience who frequently erupted, at times chanting, “USA! USA!” And “We love you! We love you!” As he delivered his first lines you could see his face well up with emotion and he struggled to balance his anger and disappointment at having not secured a second term.

Despite being asked to steer clear of the election fraud accusation by GOP leadership and the sponsors of CPAC, The President was emphatic that he had won 2020 and the votes were rigged. He set forth a few data points to back up his assertions and the audience’s rapturous response was in agreement with his conclusions. He excoriated the Republican Legislatures, Republican leadership, and especially the Supreme Court as “lacking courage.”

“Another one of the most urgent issues facing the Republican party is that of ensuring fair, honest, and secure elections. Such a disgrace, such a disgrace, such a disgrace. We must pass comprehensive election reforms, and we must do it now. The Democrats used the China virus as an excuse to change all of the election rules without the approval of their state legislatures, making it therefore illegal and had a massive impact on the election. Again, you have to go to the legislatures to get these approvals. This alone would have easily changed the outcome of the election at levels that you wouldn’t have even believed. Even with COVID, even with all of the things, the numbers are staggering. We can never let this or other abuses of the 2020 election be repeated or happen again, can never let that happen again. You see what’s going on. We’ve been set back so greatly with other countries and with the world. We need election integrity and election reform immediately. Republicans should be the party of honest elections that can give everyone confidence in the future of our country. Without honest elections, who has confidence? Who has confidence? This issue is being studied and examined. But the reality is you cannot have a situation where ballots are indiscriminately pouring in from all over the country, tens of millions of ballots. Where are they coming from? They’re coming all over the place, where illegal aliens and dead people are voting, and many other horrible things are happening that are too voluminous to even mention, but people know. I mean, it’s being studied, and the level of dishonesty is not to be believed. We have a very sick and corrupt electoral process that must be fixed immediately. This election was rigged, and the Supreme Court and other courts didn’t want to do anything about it. If you just take that one element where they didn’t go through legislatures, it’s illegal. You can’t do it. It’s in the Constitution. They didn’t have the courage, the Supreme Court. They didn’t have the courage to act…”

President Trump asked all Americans listening to his speech to take the time to read this Time Article on the 2020 Election about the secret shadow campaign waged against him and his voters The Right Wire Report provides this link which is a clear analysis of that article and who the players were.

2. No Third Party. Trump will attempt to reform the Republican Party from the inside by primary challenges and the power of raising money to use as chokehold pressure and behavior modification on the corruption.

This Right Wire Report author does not think an inside takeover is possible and just like before the GOP Establishment will align with the DNC to crush the opposition, just ask the Tea Party. But if anyone can do it – Trump is the one, so we wish him all the luck. Trump has created an official political organization site. He has a new logo, T 45. He has a new theme, Save America. Please note the President’s new fundraising committee, “Save America JFC”, is not a super PAC (a significant distinction), and funds two related non-super PACs, in a 90/10 split.  The JFC uses the WinRed platform for payment processing, described here. This is where he will build the war chest to take back the House and Senate in 2022. Conservatives no longer have to donate to the RNC they now can directly fund this and President Trump will be the King Maker and the candidate’s piggy bank. Here is the link to President Trump’s organization  ” Save America” where you can learn more about upcoming initiatives and donate.

Over the past four years, my administration delivered for Americans of all backgrounds like never before. Save America is about building on those accomplishments, supporting the brave conservatives who will define the future of the America First Movement, the future of our party, and the future of our beloved country.  Save America is also about ensuring that we always keep America First, in our foreign and domestic policy.  We take pride in our country, we teach the truth about our history, we celebrate our rich heritage and national traditions, and of course, we respect our great American Flag.

  • We are committed to defending innocent life and to upholding the Judeo-Christian values of our founding.
  • We believe in the promise of the Declaration of Independence, that we are all made EQUAL by our Creator, and that must all be TREATED equal under the law.
  • We know that our rights do not come from government, they come from God, and no earthly force can ever take those rights away. That includes the right to religious liberty and the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
  • We believe in rebuilding our previously depleted military and ending the endless wars our failed politicians of the past got us into for decades.
  • We embrace free thought, we welcome robust debate, and we are not afraid to stand up to the oppressive dictates of political correctness.
  • We know that the rule of law is the ultimate safeguard of our freedoms, and we affirm that the Constitution means exactly what it says AS WRITTEN.
  • We support fair trade, low taxes, and fewer job-killing regulations, and we know that America must always have the most powerful military on the face of the Earth.
  • We believe in Law and Order, and we believe that the men and women of law enforcement are HEROES who deserve our absolute support.
  • We believe in FREE SPEECH and Fair Elections.  We must ensure fair, honest, transparent, and secure elections going forward – where every LEGAL VOTE counts.”

3. Biden has had the worse first month in office than any other president before him.

Trump called the Biden administration “anti-jobs, anti-family, anti-borders, anti-energy, anti-women and anti-science.” Biden is the worst president ever he said Big Tech companies should be punished with major sanctions whenever they silence conservative voices  “None of us even imagined just how bad they would be and how far left they would go,” Trump said. Trump then went through specific changes in Immigration policy, Pandemic response, Transgender, Military, and Education slamming the incompetence of the Biden administration. He followed up with the successes of his administration’s policies and a recommitment to save America from the dangerous socialist agenda and totalitarianism.

4. The Republican Party under Trump is unified except for the RINO’s and Trump has a list of targets he will work to remove.

Trump identifies 90% of the party is not the problem and then begins to name – names pertaining to the 10% that is.

“The Democrats don’t have grandstanders like Mitt Romney, little Ben Sasse, Richard Burr, Bill Cassidy, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Pat Toomey,” Trump said. “And in the house, Tom Rice, South Carolina, Adam Kinzinger, Dan Newhouse, Anthony Gonzalez, that’s another beauty, Fred Upton, Jaime Herrera Beutler, Peter Meijer, John Katko, David Valadao, and of course the warmonger, a person that loves seeing our troops fighting, Liz Cheney, how about that?”

Again , this Right Wire Report author gets nervous hearing that fantasy ratio. Granted, Trump most likely was asked by those “Trumpian” elected officials, still in the House and the Senate, to save off direct open warfare with leadership as they would then be in a sticky seat between the two forces. But any serious inside takeover of the Republican Establishment would mean voting out at least half and those with the highest power. One can only hope Trump has a well-thought-out strategy on how to leash the rabid GOP hounds who will come for his infrastructure using the weapons of the government agencies and Democrat assist, he is not willing to disclose presently.

5. Surprise! Trump/Desantis 2024 or Trump/Noem 2024 on a Republican ticket.

Trump dropped more than a teaser thread inside his speech. He has either already decided to run in 2024, thinking very hard at deciding to run, or wants his constituents, media, and the two political parties to believe he is running n 2024. It would not be like Trump to bluff his voter base.

Who knows?” Trump said at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Fla. “I may even decide to beat them for a third time.”

As his speech came to a close, he predicted the Democratic Party would suffer “withering losses” in the midterm elections and that in four years, “A Republican president will make a triumphant return to the White House.”

He added, “And I wonder who that will be?”

Here is the transcript of his speech.

6.The country needed this moment.

This country has been ripping apart the last few months, and the wounds are real and cut deep. The Big -Tech Oligarchy, media, and the left attempted to exile the 45th President of the United States like Feudal Royals centuries before and by proxy all of his supporters. This man is brave and selfless. This man is a lion. The love he has for his country and its citizens is so palpable that he walked back into the coliseum to try to save her and us all. He was the only one who could do it at this moment in time. He came to show us all how to stand tall and throw off the injustices heaped on us and get back in the enduring fight to keep our Republic. After all, even if they do not know it yet, all Americans who love their county will benefit if we win this fight. America needed a dose of indomitable “Trumpism” spirit right about now.

2022 is right around the corner in political time, and 2024 is trailing just behind. Trump’s game plan is not etched in stone, and flexibility will be the key to reaching the finish line. But CPAC laid to rest any notion that the events on Jan 6th buried Caesar.

However; Thank the lord above we still have a Caesar either to reign or choose his successor. In his absence, the Establishment will giveaway ground in the House and Senate and run Nikki Haley for the loss in 2024.

"The simple step of a courageous individual is to not take part in the lie. One word of truth outweighs the world." Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

I was born and raised in the enigma known as "The Big Easy." There, rooted along the banks of the great Mississippi River between the creeping bayou and Lake Pontchartrain, I was conscripted on all things pertaining to human nature.  I am the quintessential southern woman, that is to say, I defy most could never accurately define what that label truly represents.  Brined below sea level where one respects; the haunts lingering about, the force of storm surge, the ethos of Mardi Gras, and the sanctity of generational family-I know what it is to belong to an organically diverse culture.

Early on in life, my career path serpentined and led to brief stints of living varied experiences as I indulged my passions for painting, musical theater, and the culinary arts. My young experiences evolved my purpose and honed my intuitive skills and I became a Medical Professional specializing in mental health with a focus on child/adolescent needs. After living decades in NOLA, and after hurricane  Katrina unearthed the realities of modern-day inner cities, I made the pivotal decision to relocate to where my family and I spent our summers in a quest to find security and civility in my life.

High up on one of the "grandfather mountains" I now perch in a Smoky mountain community in East Tennessee. Although, I would not trade my formative years in Louisiana, unfortunately,  that era of  America  is  no longer obtainable in the times we live - changing course was the best decision "Evah!"

I am a warrior  for freedom and truth , steeped in my ancestral history ,I am constantly reminded that stillness and introspection expands the mind and heart to possess a more nuanced understanding of all things in our internal and external world. We are all destined to bash ourselves against the rotted cultural rocks of humanity's unraveling until we recognize that a shared moral tone is essential for a free society. A healthy culture is one comprised of many unique people who offer shading and depth to the experience of living, yet all choose to accept basic truths that bind us all together-a societal moral tone. Intolerance  , censorship, intersectionality, cancel culture, apathy ,and ignorance will only groom oppression and tyranny.  Critical thought, differentiation, and dissent is your individual right granted not by government -and must always be protected, championed, and defended.

  1. Yes, America needed a dose of indomitable Trumpism right about now!
And this will sustain us to persevere to the next stage.
I agree the problem isn’t just 10% of the GOP but well over half – mainly the most powerful ones.
Once again the Right Wire Report takes the hard work out of keeping up with the fast moving political world in these confusing times and presents a clear and objective fact-packed analysis!

  2. However; Thank the lord above we still have a Caesar either to reign or choose his successor. YES! Thank you for the great read. Whoever our candidates are moving forward, it is clear who will lead the conservative charge!
