Upscale flat in Hong Kong’s Repulse Bay robbed of HK$900,000 in cash and valuables

Police were called to an upscale Hong Kong housing estate on Tuesday night after a flat there was robbed of some HK$900,000 (US$115,891) in cash and valuables.The break-in came to light at about 10.17pm on Tuesday when a 58-year-old man and his wife returned to their seventh-floor flat in the South Bay Towers in Repulse Bay and found it had been ransacked.“Initial investigation shows five watches and some jewellery were stolen, along with HK$150,000 in local and foreign currency.
