Coronavirus: Omicron wave swamps Australia’s hospitals; Micronesia no longer Covid-free

Australia has seen more than 300,000 cases over the past seven days, with the number of people admitted to hospitals near record levels. Elsewhere, the Pacific state of Micronesia reported its first Covid-19 cases in the community.
