Lunar New Year travel begins in China with 70 million on the move, activities seen to have ‘recovered notably’

Some 34.7 million trips within China were made by road, rail, water or air on Saturday, the first day of the Lunar New Year travel rush, according to the Ministry of Transport, with an additional 35.4 million made on Sunday.
