Climate change: China sets another solar power installation record while putting the brakes on fossil fuel capacity

Solar power developers installed 86 gigawatts of capacity last year, up 62 per cent from 2021, data from the National Energy Administration shows, as the country strives to reach peak carbon emissions before 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060.
