Singapore fertility rate hits all-time low as Year of the Tiger takes a bite out of births

Officials noted that the Year of the Tiger is ‘generally associated with lower births’ among the city state’s ethnic Chinese residents. The total fertility rate dropped to 1.05 in 2022 from 1.12 the year before.
