“The Population Bomb” is a book written by Paul R. Ehrlich, first published in 1968. In the book, Ehrlich argues that overpopulation is the root cause of environmental destruction and social unrest. He predicts that the world’s population will continue to grow at an exponential rate, leading to a catastrophic collapse of civilization. Ehrlich’s message was controversial at the time, as it challenged the prevailing belief that technology and economic growth could solve all of the world’s problems.
Ehrlich argues that population growth leads to a variety of problems, including resource depletion, pollution, and social unrest. He argues that as the world’s population continues to grow, the demand for resources will increase, leading to overconsumption, environmental destruction, and resource depletion. Ehrlich also warns that population growth will lead to increased pollution, including air and water pollution, as well as an increase in greenhouse gas emissions, leading to global warming and climate change.
To prevent a catastrophic collapse, Ehrlich proposes a number of solutions, including population control measures such as family planning, education, and government policies. He also calls for a shift towards a more sustainable way of life, with a focus on renewable energy, conservation, and recycling. Despite its controversial message, “The Population Bomb” has had a lasting impact on environmental and social policy, influencing debates on population control, resource management, and sustainable development.
Ehrlich proposed solutions were deemed by many in the past to be politically unacceptable because of the coercion that they implied. But what about today? Ehrlich advocated for an “unprecedented redistribution of wealth” in order to mitigate the problem of overconsumption of resources by the world’s wealthy. He still thinks that governments should discourage people from having more than two children, suggesting, for example, a higher tax rate for larger families.
Listening to Ehrlich’s arguments – here is one rebuttal – apparently, Ehrlich would fit in nicely with many in Left-Wing politics – Marxist thinking via socialist/communist or fascist administrations of government-mandated control. Can you spot the “key” words linked to Left-Wing ideologies? What is particularly interesting about all these ideologies is that they tend to always end in mass deaths and, more specifically, target children.
Is there an attack on children today?
Many may know Scott Adams, who is an American author and cartoonist. He is the creator of the syndicated Dilbert comic strip and the author of several nonfiction works of satire, commentary, and business. More recently, Adams does a daily podcast that intersects with a variety of political and philosophical ideas. In a recent podcast, he floated the idea of a link between depopulation theorists and the attack on children. It goes a bit like the following.
“The next time there’s some brand new topic – not something we’re already dealing with – the next time, there’s a brand new topic that’s a risk to children, we won’t fix it. That’s the prediction – the next new risk to children won’t be addressed.
[Adams notes recent risks to children: “opinions about abortion, trans rights for
children, you know the trans children stuff and tick-tock.”]
And here’s my hypothesis, and here’s where it gets interesting. Now you know that as a hypnotist, I think people make decisions for irrational reasons uh, and then they rationalize it.
What would happen to a planet that believed it was overpopulated?
Suppose you believe that our biggest problem is overpopulation which is a common belief. What would you value? What value would you put on children? If there are too many children, we would quite naturally … should devalue them because we don’t need more.
Now suppose your biggest problem was underpopulation, and everybody knew it how would you treat children? If you thought your biggest problem in the world was under-population, I believe you would treat them like the future. You know, like we used to in the old days.”

Scott Adams seems to make a good case for the link between depopulation theorists and the attack on children. Ehrlich makes a good case between depopulation theorists and Left-Wing ideologies and their subsequent government policies.
Ehrlich acknowledged some specific predictions he had made, in the years around the time The Population Bomb was published, that had not come to pass – learn more here. However, as to a number of his fundamental ideas and assertions, he maintained that facts and science proved them correct. Ehrlich remains defiant. Below is a recent tweet Ehrlich made defending his beliefs to this day. Note that Ehrlich is not a friend of the political Right but rather the political Left, as mentioned before.

What is particularly interesting about these thoughts, and as Scott Adams suggests, is that many of the influencing ideologues feel they are “right” but are unknowingly making bad policies due to inaccurate preconceived notions – for the supposed good of all. Others may believe that deep down that these same people know they are evil and are actively trying to destabilize narratives for some evil political agenda.
So which is it? Misguided idealogues or merely pure evil people? Perhaps it is both, though there seems to be a larger army of willing useful idiots. This post being part of a series on Sunday Thoughts – one thought comes to mind from Proverbs 14:12 below.

WOW I am lost for words.
Well, this is a big ole cup of “stating the obvious”.
The “elites” are annoyed by all the “masses” milling around, wanting food, clogging streets. Bubba the plumber and his tattooed wife with dirty-faced kids occupying the same beach space as them is an affront to their superiority.
So, yea, they have no use for our kids, but the elites seldom abort theirs. But its also about us. They dont want to wait until we die off. Their life extending elixirs will still eventually wear off…they dont have time. If they are going to have a chance to enjoy their life sitting at the perch without all those annoying “people” crowding the earth, they need us dead, ASAP.
Any time anyone refers to the “science”, I am reminded of the onset of the COVID plandemic. All medical experts on the TV shows begged us to not hoard the N95 masks…that they were the only masks available to the public that stop virus transmission…this from 100 years of virology “science”. Fast forward to today in America, and the last bastions of the face pampers, cloth, paper, tee-shirt, bandanna…anything seems to fulfill their “theater” as long as you “obey”, are medical facilities. The very people who know damned well only N95 masks block viruses.
And yet those who believe the planet is overpopulated (I am a recent convert to this idea btw), are often the same people who are advocating policy prescriptions aimed at making the world better for future generations ie our children.
These same people are often those that are advocating for more and better public schooling, again looking after the children.
Similarly advocating for better public health access for children, does not sit at all uncomfortably with me as an overpopulationist (is that even a word?)
But by far the biggest pro children issue is that of climate change. One that is pushed strongly by overpopulationists like myself.
But Scotts idea that all actions are underpinned by mating did get me thinking. Is that really why I put my lipstick on? He could be right? But I would postulate it is more a male trait than a female one. (but on this I could be wrong)

Today you have added to your bio that you are a recent convert to the position that the world is overpopulated. Over the last several months on our blog the culmination of your comments on threads are that you ADVOCATE :
1. Adults who label themselves as Drag Queens and choose to be paid to perform adult themed , sexualized acts , including nudity, direct statements about sexual acts, perversions ,kink with youth attendinging, and while conversing with them on mic in audience, using adult sexual toys in their performances, and encourage the children in the audience to slip dollae bills in their thongs or bras – ALL IN FRONT OF CHILDREN ….( In your words) is not child abuse but free speech and expression like pantomine. You have loudly championed the above activity even when it has been pointed out to you it is not adults attending adult drag shows that is in question but children attending them, and the Draq community marketing to children to be drag kids.
2. You advocate CRT and DEI education in elementary and HS is a good and important thing. YOU champion it. You have even commented on articles that point out the schools are hiding the LGBTQ – pronoun freak show , and gender dress up closets, from parents. And you register approval of this based on your belief it will save Trans and gay children from depression and suicide. Despite stats showing over the last decade since the explosion of this lunacy in our schools both stats have risen exponentially.
3. You defend books in schools teaching children how two boys suck one another off, how two girls can scissor, and worse! Books that are pornographic. You defend history on slavery that is complete fabrications, and you champion the concept of white privlege and fragility. You have even gone so far as to post a video of a teacher instructing her young students to move forward or back based on her questions which she then tells the kids their steps were soley based on the color of their skin!!!! Humiliating both sets of children in the exercise and racist at the core of it all.
4. You advocate that the government /doctors/psychiatrists/ hospitals all have the right, and the superior right, to shoot kids up with hormones and even schedule body mutilating surgeries for the sole puropse of transitioning. When articles advocate protecting those under age 18 from such horrfic abuses you have claimed it is those advocating protecting the youth that are the extremists.
Now, do not waste your energy claiming you have NOT ADVOCATED the above list. Most readers here have followed your comments for the duration and the evidence is a slam dunk if one reads the threads. It is possible you never actually looked at the complete article’s contents , links, or comprehended what it was you were advocating against when you fire off your screeds( albeit yours are considerably shorter than mine). I actually pray it turns out that you do not comprehend because at least being dumb is more honorable than being in the know, and head cheerleader.

How can you say this? It is the Progressive/Socialist/Marxist who advocates we are overpopulated and Climate change is an existential threat. Who practice the evil behind CRT and DEI. All policies implemented across all countries under this ideology have horrific outcomes for children. Higher – broken families, single mothers, fatherless homes,high drug use, high incarcerations per pop stat, high welfare , high poverty , high mental health issues with kids, and lower education proficiency in basics.

As a teacher you would be required to have a college degree. How did you get through biology and sciences without grasping our entire DNA is designed for procreation. And just because some cannot do so , or chooses not to do so, cannot change the hormonal network in our human mind and organs. Procreation is survival. We are hardwired.
In America, the teachers unions and many teachers today are the problem. They are damaged people who cling to dangerous and destructive DOGMA. They have the audacity to think they are entitled to infuse our innocent babies with their twisted sick world view and perversions. Bottom line in America’s public school system our children are way behind and over 56% are not proficent in Reading or Math!!!! In Black communities that number raises as high as 78%!
This plays out in other countries too battling this Cultural Marxist agenda.

All of this is to say-
1. Progressives, many who are ” teachers” have lost the right to claim their perspectives or understanding on subjects like Childrens’ mental health, climate change, black or brown peoples needs, racisim , and overpopulation . If you cannot teach a 3rd grader to read and do basic math then get off the political/ cultural debate floor. Further if you sit back and allow or champion the child abuse going on in our schools and culture in the name of DEI – You are disqualified as a rational thinker.
2. You cannot postulate jack chit and should stop trying to fake it.
Bekah how would you react to a person that makes up slanderous lies about you whenever they are unable engage the issue at hand? Because Bekah that is exactly what you have just done to me.

So you see deary , I was addressing the absurdity of your claim that those like you ( as you described above) could ever belooking after the children. To drive home my point I addressed what you have advocated for on the threads which is CRT and DEI whicj directly harm the children.

Ehrlich has been shown to be wrong with most of his conclusions. His prophecies have often fallen flat. He is not reliable. As for the Dilbert author: he’s out, gone, excised, done .

Bully -seek to harm, intimidate, or coerce (someone perceived as vulnerable).
On a social media platform when one engages in a debate and someone is not factual and therefore is challenged and facts corrected – is not bully behaviors.
When one makes attacking statements to another commenter or tries to daftly degrade an issue by strawman statements and then must cope with the comeback to that behavior – again is not bully behaviors.
If you wish to be a snowflake – do not post. But as long as you choose to post your comments, those comments like everyone elses, are open to be challenged , exposed, and debunked.
